The Land in Spirit

The Land is Spirit is a meta-survey of the American Southwest, male eroticism, and patriarchal histories through a modern lens of ecological anxiety. Texts from antiquated geographical and anthropological reports are repurposed and cut up with contemporary news reports and personal journals as meta-research reflecting the interdependencies of humanity and nature.

An installation featuring selections of the series was exhibited at the New Mexico Museum of Art’s Alcoves 20/20 #4 show in late 2020, extending to 2021.
