Comprised of 23 static shots surveying the desert surrounding the El Paso/Juarez border, 23 Minutes of Chihuahuan Desert depicts a landscape fraught with dispute and laden with layers of visual culture and iconography. 23 Minutes… creates time and space to reflect on the region and our socio-political perception of it by distilling it to its essential ecological form.
